Cost - $90.00 (Your child will also receive a BUSC Academy T-shirt to wear to training each week)
Age Group - U10 and younger - (please refer to age bracket chart on the try-outs page to determine appropriate age bracket)
Start Dates - Monday-February 1, 2010
Evaluation Dates - Monday-February 1, Wednesday-February 3 and Monday-February 8
These evaluation dates will allow the BUSC coaches an opportunity to work with each player and place them in the appropriate level so they can continue to improve upon the fundamentals of soccer. This spring we will have 3 tiers within our Academy program. The 3 tiers will be broken down into Level I (Academy), Level II (Advanced Academy) and Level III (Elite Academy (Travel)). Location - Frank Nelson Park (23rd Street close to GCCC and across from Taco Bell)

What is Academy Training? - The BUSC Soccer Training Academy is for ages 5-10 and will start Monday, February 1, 2010. It will be held one night a week with small sided games scheduled twice a month. BUSC Soccer Academy is open to all players wanting to improve their skills. The cost is $90 and each player will receive a BUSC Training T-shirt.
Our Academy program is designed to provide quality instruction by USSF licensed Coaches with many years of experience coaching select, high school and college soccer. Our academy is open for all young players of all skill levels and ages. All players who have an interest in learning the fundamentals of soccer and have an interest in playing may participate. Our Academy program will provide not only training but also incorporate fun in the learning process. Players will train once a week and play small sided games in a controlled competition environment setting twice a month. Academy players are part of Bay United Soccer Club and are welcome to join us in club soccer camps, fun days as well as try-out for traveling teams when they are ready to advance. Learning these skills and participating in programs that teach you the proper skills at a early age are crucial in your success as a soccer player.

Due to the overwhelming response to our Academy program, we have expanded the program for the spring. The Academy will be accepting boys & girls ages 5-10 years old. This expansion will result in a three tier level structure: Level I—Academy, Level II—Academy Advanced, Level III—Academy Elite. Coaches will evaluate players the first three practices and will group players according to age and skill level, providing each child with a more challenging and fun environment conducive to the players development.
Registration and first three practices of the 2010 BUSC Academy will run on February 1st, 3rd & 8th at Frank Nelson Park from 5:00 pm—7:00 pm. Registration will be from 5:00 pm—5:30 pm and practice from 5:30 pm—7:00 pm. For more information and to register online go to www.bayunitedsoccer.org
I LEVEL - ACADEMY
This level of Academy will focus on basic skills and provide quality coaching for players. They will practice once a week and play friendly games in town twice a month similar to the fall season.
Fee: $ 90 (includes insurance) for 10 week program.
II LEVEL - ACADEMY ADVANCED
These players will work on more advance skills. They will practice twicea week with a BUSC Coach and will also play friendly games against some local opponents as well as Academy teams from other clubs mainly on Saturdays but no more than 1-2 Saturdays a month . Players for this level will be selected by Academy Coaches during the first three practices.
New Player Fee: $ 245 (includes insurance) for 14 week program + approx. $60 events / games*.
Returning Player Fee: $200 for 14 week program + approx. $60 events / games*.
III LEVEL - ACADEMY ELITE
Level III players will be part of the BUSC select / traveling program. This level is going to be a place for competitive players with advanced soccer skills and experience. They will practice twice a week with a BUSC Coach and will travel out of town to play tournaments. Players for this level will be selected by the BUSC U10 Boys and U10 Girls Traveling Team Coaches and will play with those traveling teams in the spring.
New Player Fee: $ 245 (includes insurance) for 14 week program + approx. $250 events / games*.
New Player Uniform Kit: $80 Adidas Game Day Jersey Set, 1 pair Adidas Shorts $22, 1 pair Adidas Socks $8 = $110
Returning Player Fee: $200 for 14 week program, $80 Adidas Game Day Jersey Set + approx. $250 events / games*.
