Coach Marek Betkowski is a full time professional coach and is the Director of Coaching for Bay United Soccer Club. He began his soccer career as a former player in his native Poland. He has 25 years of coaching experience and holds a Master's Degree in Physical Education with a Soccer Specialty Degree. He started coaching in 1986 while still playing in Poland. There he coached the teams at the youth level for 10 years before moving to the United States. Coach Betkowski holds a United States Soccer Federation B and C license and an FYSA D license. He was named the 2003 Florida Youth Soccer Association's Coach of the Year. From 1998-2010, Coach Betkowski coached the Mosley High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team--taking them to 11 Bay County Championships. Since 2010, he has coached the Mosley High School Girls Varsity Team. He has coached this team to five County Championships, Regional Finalists in 2011, 2014, and 2015, and District Championships in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. Since 1996, he has coached Bay United Soccer Club teams reaching tournament finals games 268 times and winning over 173 Tournament Championships. His BUSC teams have earned 16 FYSA Region D Championship Titles. In 2003, 2004, 2007, and 2008, his teams earned FYSA President's Cup Championships. In 2004, his BUSC U15 Girls team won the FYSA President’s Cup, USSF Region III Cup, and they played in the U.S. Final Four in Indianapolis, Indiana. Coach Betkowski is currently serving Bay United Soccer Club as Director of Coaching and has held an NSCAA Director of Coaching license since 2012.
